Network Time ServerGalleon Network time servers receive and synchronize time on an IT system or enterprise. Network time servers acquire UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) time from an outside source, such as NIST Internet Time Service (ITS) or the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO). Depending on its capabilities, a network time server can retrieve packets of time from either the Internet or a GPS satellite. |
